9.Zara

Zara is one brand that comes from Spain and is headquartered in Arteixo, Gallicia. Zara was founded in 1975 by Armancio Ortega and Rosallia camera. Zara is itself a flagship store of Inditex, which also has several other leading brands such as Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Oysho, Uterqüe, Stradivarius and Bershka.

Zara itself only takes about 2 weeks to develop new products and launches around 10,000 new designs each year. Armancio ortega first opened Zara Store in a main street in the center of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. The store was quite successful, so Armancio open several more stores in Spain. During the 1980s, Ortega started changing the design, manufacturing and distribution process to reduce lead times and react to new trends in a quicker way, in what he called "instant mode". In 1980, the company began international expansion through Porto, Portugal. In 1989 they entered the United States and France in 1990. And until now, Zara is present in 73 countries in the world, including in Indonesia. Zara has some kind of clothing, ranging from women, men, children (Zara Kids), to cosmetics. Zara stores in Spain most (329 stores), and France (114 shops). While in Indonesia, there are only 9 Zara stores.

Louis Vuitton fashion director Daniel Piette described Zara as "the retailer's most innovative and highly effective in the world." By CNN, Zara is also named as "Spanish success story."
